Aavistus Festival of Audiovisual Art & VJ Culture
 
Aavistus Festival is an international biennial of AV art and VJ culture. It targets not only club culture enthusiasts but also others interested in video and media art. It needed an identity that would highlight the ethereal nature of these arts.

The concept of diverse motion granted the team of volunteers artistic freedom. The governing source of inspiration was the mystic borderline between the city and the forest, especially pine trees, which are otherworldly gateways in folktales.

The social media accounts and eventually also the venues of Aavistus were filled with experimental motion design and for instance with festival’s own Giphy-stickers. Thanks to numerous applications, the new identity and especially the logo became iconic during the first months of use.
